Almost There!

After spending nearly three long months (more than 1,350 hours!) in my lovely carrel (note: defining characteristics of "lovely" as used here include: small, dim, window-less, joy-less, electrical outlet-deficient, and anything else you can gather from the picture below),

I emerged triumphantly (and exhaustedly) from Firestone with a completed thesis in hand on May 5, 2008! Ten days, two final papers, and one departmental exam later, the last of my academic requirements at Princeton were finally completed! Hooray!

Now it's on to Reunions '08 and Commencement weekend - I can't believe four years have gone by so quickly!

Kate, what fun it was to see you and to share a bit of of time together in Tucson. I loved learning about your hopes and aspirations as you open this next chapter in life! The world is a brighter with you in it! Wishing you joy, discovery and life-long learning. Enjoy the journey! I can't wait to hear more! Much love, "Elenita"!
