Ganyliel in Pictures

A little more than a month has passed since I flew into Ganyliel - a small village in the bottom bit of Southern Sudan's Unity State and my new home for the next year. I've been keeping busy (learning the ins and outs of the program I'm managing by day, puttering around my tukul & dodging mosquitoes by night), but have had time to get out and about a bit. Hopefully I'll manage to un-jumble my thoughts and write up a post or two soon, but in the meantime ... pictures!

Kate, these are the most compelling photos yet. They reflect your deepening relationship with the culture and the people. They took my breath away; and as you might anticipate, they bring a thousand questions to mind.
